Custom Comparison Analysis - Peer CareScience

The Custom Comparison Analysis provides the functionality of a regular Standard Analysis with the added flexibility to choose the metrics you want in one analysis. For example, you can include outcome metrics, readmission metrics, and complications metrics in the same analysis.

Like all Standard Analyses, the risk-adjustment methodology selected in My Admin controls which versions of analyses are available for selection. It also controls the columns that are available for inclusion on the analyses.

There are four versions of Custom Comparison:

  • 3M Facility
  • 3M Peer
  • CareScience Facility
  • CareScience Peer

Select this analysis from the Standard Analysis options and follow the same process steps to complete the required and optional prompts (follow the on-screen instructions).

Custom Comparison vs. Custom Query

Custom Comparison is a Standard Analysis that allows you to include the metrics you want on one analysis whereas Custom Query is an ad hoc query tool that allows you to customize more aspects of the analysis.
